Kim bap

I grew up eating a ton of kim bap. Some may call this gim bap, but I don't understand why you'd write "kim" with a G instead of a K. Do you know any Korean named Kim who writes Kim with a G?

Kim Bap can be confused for Japanese sushi. I like to think of Kim Bap as Korean sushi, but without fish. It may include fish, but it often doesn't have any fish. It takes a lot of time to make Kim Bap, but it's a great picnic food and you can really be creative with it.

Enjoy Kim Bap!

Red pepper is the secret sauce

Korean food can be very spicy! Hot and spicy! That's just the way we Koreans like our food. What's the secret sauce in hot Korean food? Red pepper. It may be red pepper sauce. Or, red pepper paste. Or, red pepper powder. It's in kimchi. It's in stews and meats. It's in everything we love that's hot and spicy!

Nori and Kim

I love eating seaweed. Sounds strange, doesn't it? Well, Asian seaweed is made to be delicious. You've probably had some if you've ever had sushi. Seaweed. The Japanese call it Nori. Koreans call it Kim. Hey, Kim is my last name! I'm Joseph C. Kim.

Beef or pork?

This weekend, I had to choose between beef or pork. Who cares? I care about my health. I'm trying to avoid red meat, but fatty pork isn't healthy either. It's hard to avoid meat when you're eating Korean food. I'm Joseph C Kim

Joseph C Kim is a Korean foodie

I'm Joseph C Kim and I'm a Korean foodie. I love Korean food. I visit as many Korean restaurants as I can when I travel. I love Korean fusion. I also enjoy authentic, traditional Korean food.

My favorite city to eat Korean food is Los Angeles. You'll find some of the best Korean food there in K-Town.
